On October 2, 1996, the Washington DC Divine Science School became a reality.  Since the Washington DC School began operations in 1996, there have been numerous students across the globe that have successfully taken and completed formal courses in the Divine Science Teaching and way of life.  Those “Truth- Seekers” that availed themselves through the successful completion of these courses have been blessed with their new-found Truth and knowledge, that when applied, has brought them to the Kingdom of Heaven right here on earth.

Likewise, over the years through the Washington DC School, there have been many loving and committed Divine Science practitioners, teachers, and ministers that have served as board members of the School and as active teachers. With time however, many of the school’s teachers and board members have made their transitions, have set out on retirement, and are now experiencing the later years of lives well-lived. 

Unfortunately, the influx, training, and recruitment of new Divine Science teachers, practitioners and ministers to take on the responsibilities of operating the School have not kept pace.  And so it is, after some 30 years in operation, with a declining cadre of tenured and qualified teachers, and the lack of candidate students that have actually completed the Six Basic Courses and have sought to become teachers under the Washington DC, Charter/Articles of Incorporation, the School Board decided to close the school effective June 30, 2026.  On this date, the School Board of Directors shall retire and the Articles of Incorporation established in Washington, DC terminated.
